Description

For this piece I wanted to portray someone who isn't that strong yet but is pouring their heart into weight training doing isolation curls. I wanted to have an expressive style but keep it from becoming convoluted. There are thin yellow lines portraying movements happening. He is going up onto his toes on one of his feet because he is struggling and his right hand is gripping his pants to convey this,too. Sweat is falling onto the ground and a drop of it is splattering on the 30 pound dumbbell. Having him in an unfinished basement or garage and having a pull-up bar hanging from the door frame was to add to the grit of the piece.
