Description

I created this piece both as a gift and a means of experimenting and practicing with drawing faces as well as patterns. I was inspired by how Gustav Klimt drew faces very much and wanted to create a bizarre geometric pattern in the background that somewhat overlapped with the face. I wanted to do so in a way that complimented the symmetry of the face and I think I somewhat succeeded at executing this. I chose to make the background different tones and colors of golds and blue green mixes to compliment the skin tone of Taylor. This piece was made in January, 2019. (9 x 12 in.)
